Guide to Best Weaving Yarn

Hi Weavers!

Excitement is building ahead of next week's weave along! I've been receiving quite a few questions and one of them relates to suitable yarns.

The Garden Path Scarf Pattern recommends a fingering weight wool (a knitting yarn usually) for beautiful results.

But that doesn't mean you don't have other choices - this is a very adaptable pattern. Possible adaptions are discussed within the weave along so you can weave with confidence.

I do feel that a slightly thicker, soft and lofty knitting yarn gives great results. You want something soft enough to wear comfortably against your skin - no one wants to wear a scratchy scarf! 😖

As weavers we are really blessed at this point in time to have access to a huge array of weaving, knitting, crochet, even wire yarns, if that's what floats your boat!
