Hi Weavers!
As you have probably noticed, I've been down a bit of a beadweaving rabbit hole recently!
A big part of beadweaving is designing - and there are so many exciting possibilities! I do love old school graph paper and colour pencils, but I wanted a faster and easier way to make my designs.
So I made an interactive Pattern Maker and I'm sharing it with all of you!
The Pattern Maker allows you to fill in a grid with custom colours, change your design however you like, save and print in PDF format.
Oh, and it's free to use on my website ๐
I've also made a video to show you exactly how to use the pattern maker to create your own designs.

8 SHAFTS ON A TABLE LOOM
I have now commenced filming for a brand new class! We will be weaving 8 shaft advancing twill on a table loom. I'm currently working on the sampler section and there will also be a project.
As always, Premium members of the Online Weaving School will have early access to content as I upload. Keep an eye out as this early access will open soon.

RIGID HEDDLE WEAVING TIP
I know we all love to get in the zone when we're weaving, but don't forget to occasionally stand up or back away from your work to view it from a different angle. Snap a quick photo with your phone too.
If you have made any mistakes or something is not quite right, you may not notice close up. But stepping back is like looking with a fresh set of eyes. And the photo is extra insurance, I guarantee if there is a mistake, it will pop out at you from the phone screen!
If you get in the habit of doing this regularly, you will catch mistakes in time to correct them.
My online beginner rigid heddle weaving class has many tips like this. It walks you through weaving a project from start to finish and helps you to learn all the things you didn't know you needed to know!

MOSAIC KNITTING
My fun evening activity lately has been playing around with knitting mosaic samples. I've been using this terrific book to learn and practice and now I'm starting to test out my own designs.
In my attempt last night I knitted trees minus the leaves (I still have design issues to work out obviously ๐) but it's really fun to dream of all the possibilities.
