Hi Weavers!
I spend a lot of time talking about rigid heddle looms and with good reason!
While a rigid heddle loom is perfect for a brand new beginner weaver, it's a loom that can grow with you.
As your weaving skills and interests change and intensify over time you may find that you want to move beyond plain weave.
There is so much to explore in weaving, it really is limitless, and while a rigid heddle loom does have it's own particular limitations, it's a loom that is willing to grow with you.
The point I'm trying to make is that the RH loom is capable of simple AND more complex weaving. All it takes is your willingness to learn and explore.
In this article I outline just some of the things a RH loom is able to do - from simple plain weave right up to complex weave structures:

NEW AND COMING SOON - THE ART OF TEACHING YOUR CRAFT
I'm excited to have begun work on a program that has been in my mind for some time now. In addition to weaving, I have a passion for business and for helping others succeed.
This won't be like anything else I have produced. It won't be for everyone, but I believe there is a need for it.
I'm putting together a program for creatives who have the desire to teach others.
It's not just for weavers, but anyone in a creative field who feels led to share their passion.
The program will be in an online course format but will be a stand alone course specifically for those who are in, or wish to enter the niche of creative teaching.
I will be drawing on my 10+ years as a weaving teacher and 20+ years as a homeschool teacher and group facilitator to help you get started.
As you know, all of my classes at the Online Weaving School are low priced. This course will be a little different. It will be higher priced and very focused. There will be opportunity for discussion and possibly mentorship. It's intended to be a launching pad for those starting out.
This comprehensive course will take some time to put together so I don't have a release date as of now.
However, if you are interested in hearing more about this topic and course, click this link to be kept in the loop ⬇️
