The Weekend Edition - Flat as a pancake 🥞

Hi Weavers!

I’m keeping this week’s newsletter simple and to the point.

To be honest, this week has felt a bit flat creatively. No big drama, just one of those in-between stretches that we all hit at various times.

Maybe it's the busyness of the past month catching up with me.

I guess it's the "unplanned" events too. Road travel, so many house guests, (which is lovely but very draining to my borderline hermit personality!) my studio being hit by carpet beetle and just this last week, the unwelcome discovery of water damage to a wall in my studio 😬

There is SO, SO much I need to get done and it's been a bit overwhelming.

So, I'm trying to just conquer one thing at a time.

Yesterday I finished some sewing alterations that were sitting in a pile. Today I am working on writing an article and getting set up to start filming a new class for the weaving school (did you know we recently passed 15,000 students? 😳)

As I enter my 50th year, I'm trying to be better at giving myself more of what I truly need and recognising what those needs are.

✅ More reading time

✅ More family time

✅ More rest

✅ More creative time just for me

For 10 years now, I've given most of myself to building a successful business. But as I've reflected on before, this comes at a great cost.

Maybe 2026 is the year that I finally find the right balance?
