NEW TARIFFS
Many small Australian businesses are reeling at the prospect of the proposed changes to US tariffs.
The basic run down is that tariffs for items entering into the USA from Australia may be raised to such an extent that Australian business will no longer ship to the US. It is still unknown exactly when and exactly how much, but there are estimates and they don't look positive.
I know of many (especially handmade) Aussie businesses who have already ceased shipping to the US. If these tariffs are pushed through, many businesses will be ruined.
If you are in the US and currently purchase physical products from any Australian businesses (or wish to do so) I recommend that you purchase before the end of this month.
I know that Pickers Ridge are still shipping to the US at this point but the future of that is very uncertain. If you have been eyeing one of their beautiful boat shuttles or other handmade wood pieces, now would be the time to grab it!
It's really sad to see the world changing in so many ways that are beyond our control π
