Hi Weavers!
I wish you all a very Happy New Year! May 2026 be a year of peace, excitement and loving progress for all of us β€οΈ
This week was a very exciting one for us as we welcomed our second beautiful grandchild into the world - a precious little girl. Mum (our daughter in law) and bub are doing very well ππ
The Weekend Edition is early this week, as I will be travelling to meet the new baby and help out for a bit.
*Please note - I will not be able to send out any parcels for the next week. You are welcome to enquire and order any Lojan products, and I will send out when I'm back home. Thanks for understanding!

LEVEL UP YOUR RH WEAVING
The humble rigid heddle loom is capable of so much more than first meets the eye.
Thatβs exactly why itβs such a wonderful loom for beginners. You can start with its most basic function - plain weave, and then gradually build skills and confidence from there.
If youβre feeling in a rut with your weaving, or unsure what to explore next, here are three practical, confidence-building ways to level up your rigid heddle weaving β without overwhelm.

ZOOM LOOM TUTORIAL
This week on Kindred Weavers I'm sharing a tutorial for how to warp and weave a square on a pin loom.
This is a start to finish tutorial in real time, resulting in a finished square to take off the loom.
Hope you can join me!

Thank you all for another great year. I am truly grateful that I can continue to do what I love every day.
None of this would be possible without all of you and I can never thank you enough β€οΈ

AN UNWELCOME VISIT!
This week my daughter discovered carpet beetle in one of my yarn stash drawers in the studio! π±
After assessing the damage, I've placed a couple of bags of yarn in the freezer and cleaned the drawer with vinegar and sunshine.
I've also checked other stash areas and found one more location where the bugs have infiltrated!
Following recommendations, I've ordered some cedar balls in hope that may help to deter the beasties in the future.
I made a quick video to show you what to do if you find your precious stash has been attacked:
