Hi Weavers!
You’re lucky to get a newsletter this week 😉
Not because I don’t care, but because some weeks are just a lot! I've been interstate, relishing the first week of my new baby granddaughter's life and loving on my grandson. What a very special blessing.
But it means that I've only just arrived home and haven't touched a loom in over a week.
Which got me thinking about weaving (of course).
Not every “weaving week” has to involve warp winding, threading, and hours at the loom. Sometimes progress looks a lot smaller and a lot more realistic. Sometimes the loom has to be put aside.
Today, my weaving win was cleaning my studio. No shuttle thrown. No picks beaten. But the spider webs are defeated, the floor is vacuumed and everything is ready for the next weaving session.
If you’re short on time this week, here are a few weaving-related things that absolutely still count:
Creative work doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Small, quiet prep work is still part of the process. It often makes the actual weaving so much more enjoyable when you get there.
If this week is light, that’s okay. You’re still a weaver, 100%.
More soon - hopefully with a little more time on my hands 😉
Until then, perhaps you want to check out some of my online resources for weavers:
