The Weekend Edition - Warping headaches? 😩

Hi Weavers!

Ask any weaver about their least favorite part of the process, and many will answer without hesitation: "warping the loom!"

Warping is often seen as tedious, complicated, and fraught with potential for mistakes.

But for me, warping is an essential and satisfying step in the weaving process, the foundation on which every weaving project depends.

A well-made warp sets the tone for a successful and joyful weaving experience.

WEAVING BOOKS

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge bibliophile with a rather generous (and seemingly constantly growing) weaving book collection.

My collection includes brand new, vintage and antique books.

I began my weaving journey by reading weaving books and applying what I learned. No wonder that I value my beloved weaving books so much!

If you would like to add some great weaving books to your collection but buying new is out of reach, you can find a lot of excellent books second hand.

LOUET PRICING INCREASES

If you've been thinking about a Louet loom, now would be a good time to purchase.

On 1st January 2025, there will be an increase of between 4-8%.

In the US you can order Louet looms from The Woolery or Revolution Fibers. In Australia you can order from Thread Collective. In the UK, George Weil is a Louet stockist and in North America you can find them at Jane Stafford Textiles.
