The Weekend Edition - What is a weaver?

Hi Weavers!

I've been contemplating people who weave recently. It's kind of challenging to put thoughts into written format but I wanted to try to sum up how I feel about weavers and why they are special people to me.

In the end, it wasn't as hard to articulate as I assumed, I started by thinking about the main attributes most weavers seem to share and the words came flooding out. I have such gratitude for the weaving community, it only seems right to express that:

"INKLE SIZES" UPDATED

It seemed like an appropriate time to update an article about inkle looms that I wrote some time ago.

With the Krokbragd Inkle Weave Along being underway, the popularity of the Lojan Inkle Loom and weavers discovering and exploring all the wonderful things you can do on a humble little 2 shaft loom, I thought it would be useful reading for some of you considering a purchase.

Here is the upgraded article, I hope you find it has even more value now than before:

KROKBRAGD INKLE WEAVING

The new class opened during the week and the weave along is underway!

I shared the introduction video on Youtube and you can also preview that from the main class page.

It's great to see all of the enthusiasm around the weave along and I'm looking forward to seeing some beautiful krokbragd bands.

Don't forget that the weave along includes a bonus band design and the chance to win a Lojan Inkle Loom! ❤️

THANK YOU

In last week's newsletter I introduced you to the amazing husband and wife team that is Picker's Ridge.

Tim and Tui were absolutely blown away by your response over the weekend! They received many visits to their online shop and some valued sales as well.

If you are in small handmade business you know just how tough these past few years have been. It is so heartening to know that many still value the beauty and quality of items handmade from the heart by skilled artisans ❤️

Very soon I will have more to share with you from this innovative Aussie business!

If you haven't checked out their shop yet, you may be surprised. In addition to beautiful boat shuttles they also hand craft earrings, rolling pins and fruit bowls, just to name a few.
