In the weaving world, there’s so much inspiration to be gleaned – endless projects, beautiful photos, clever ideas. It’s wonderful, but it can also creep up on you in ways you don’t expect.

A WONDERFUL WEEK
This week was quite different to my regular routine. On Monday I celebrated my 49th birthday and managed to give myself a rare "most of the day off".
I spent some time exploring soft pastel painting through a couple of tutorials. I had been wanting to do this for a long time but was scared to start.
I knew my paintings wouldn't look the way I wanted them to, and that was my mental block to beginning.
But I did make a start, I enjoyed the process and I learned. And I'm looking forward to learning more!
My youngest daughter and I went to see Annie the Musical in cold, wet Melbourne with some friends.
We also went out for a special teppanyaki dinner, which was delicious and fun!

BOAT SHUTTLE UPDATE - NEW SIZE AVAILABLE
Tim at Pickers Ridge has been very busy making new boat shuttles and uploading them to the website.
As I predicted, the 15" shuttles sold out very quickly!
11.5" shuttles are now available - perfect for those who love a petite shuttle or for a narrower width of warp.
